Bread Alone held a press conference to announce the construction of the production facility in Lake Katrina on Oct 15, 2012. Among the attendees were Senator Charles E. Schumer, Hudson River Ventures, Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp. (HVEDC), and Ulster County Executive Mike Hein. Ellenbogen Group, Inc. was hired to cover the HVEDC conference and produce a video story as we’ve done in the past year and a half with close to twenty announcements.

Schumer stated that Bread Alone will receive a $4.6 million U.S. Department of Agriculture Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan which will be used for renovations of the 26,000 foot facility. HVEDC also secured a $250,000 loan from Hudson River Valley Ventures LLC. The loan money will be put towards purchases, upgrades, and outfit the building creating a new standard for artisan baking for the thirty years of industry.

Schumer later added, “I am thrilled to be part of this fantastic day for Bread Alone – a small, job-creating business in the Hudson Valley that continues to demonstrate excellence in everything it does.” Bread Alone expects to double in revenue in the next five years, along with increasing local employment in the Ulster and Dutchess Counties, and throughout Hudson Valley.

Best organic and whole grains are used to produce the wide variety of breads and other baked goods at Bread Alone. Started in 1983, Dan Leader and his partner, Sharon Burns-Leader are working to develop jobs which will bring the grain-based economic roots back to the Hudson Valley. Dan and Sharon are cognizant of the importance in producing a video and want Ellenbogen Group, Inc. to show the continual success, process, and growth of Bread Alone.

The audio feed captured, at the press conference, has been delivered to local radio stations.

The video will be posted on the HVEDC website for later viewing.
