Ellenbogen Wins Telly Award for United Way of Orange and Dutchess
The United Way video, shot and edited by The Ellenbogen Group, was awarded a Bronze Award in the 34th Annual Telly Awards, in the nonprofit fundraising category. The competition drew nearly 11,000 entries in numerous broadcast, non-broadcast and online categories from all 50 states and numerous countries. Winners represent the work of advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments throughout the world.
“This video graphically depicts that many of our neighbors are in great need,” said Judith Brush, President of D/J Brush Associates and consultant to United Way for the project. “We hope that the video motivates donors in Dutchess and Orange counties to give to United Way to help provide solutions.”
The three-minute video summarizes the struggles families face in the historic Dutchess and Orange counties. Ariel footage reveals the beauty of the Hudson Valley, then cuts to black and white footage disclosing the financial struggles, lack of education, and misfortunes evident in the communities. Steve Berner, President of Toolbelt Media, Inc., strategically scripted and narrated the award winning video, to focus on the mission of the nonprofit organization. United Way wants to connect needs to resources, causes, support, and hope to unite the community.
“United Way is serving the community in hopes of providing resources to all members of the community. We are honored to be awarded a prestigious Telly and really enjoyed producing this video project.” explains Jeremy Ellenbogen, President of The Ellenbogen Group.
